[PART 6] LFW Gameplay: Reap Your Harvest with SIDE MISSIONS

Apart from Story Quests and Treasure Hunt, Side Missions are a lucrative source of resources for you to make meaningful progress. Legends of Fantasy War offers you demanding yet rewarding challenges in various Side Missions.

PRACTICE

This is a Mission specializing in providing an immense amount of EXP. Practice is a great way to increase your heroes’ levels.

In this Side Mission, you will have to face powerful bosses of various elements. Defeating them will grant you EXP Pills and Elixirs, which can be used to increase your heroes’ levels.

By default, you have 02 free chances to challenge Practice bosses and you can use GEM to buy more chances if necessary.

Beside EXP Pills and Elixirs, you are also rewarded with an opportunity to play a mini game, which is card flipping. After you successfully defeat the boss, you can flip 01 of the 05 cards shown to you and the rewards are shown before the cards are shuffled. You can use GEM to flip other cards if they contain the rewards you desire.

WANTED

Wanted’s mechanic is quite similar to that of Practice. You will face arduous enemies and receive abundant rewards once you successfully defeat them. Wanted’s rewards focus on gear progression as it drops Soul Stones and Reagents.

Soul Stones are used to level up hero’s equipment, increasing its enhancement and refinement limits.

Reagents are special items that act like blueprints of equipment, they are used in crafting and can create powerful items that cannot be obtained by any other means.

By default, you have 02 free chances to challenge Wanted bosses and you can use GEM to buy more chances if necessary.

TREASURY

Treasury is a perfect way to farm Gold. In this Side Mission, you will only have to face one single boss named Old Man. But do not let the name fool you. Old Man is extremely durable and powerful.

The way the rewards you receive are calculated is also unique. After your battle with Old Man ends, regardless of the result, you are guaranteed to earn an amount of gold equivalent to 15% of the total damage you deal to him. This means the more damage you dish out, the more Gold you will earn.

By default, you have 12 free chances to challenge Treasury’s Old Man and you can use GEM to buy more chances if necessary.

ANCIENT CAVERN

Ancient Cavern is your Skill book and Reset Skill Pills source. Unlike the above Side Missions, you are asked to explore the five floors of the Cavern, each floor contains different rewards and there are also dangerous enemies lurking. The higher floor you explore, the better your rewards are.

Each floor has three different options and you can only choose one without knowing what you are getting. At least one of the options is Skill books and Reset Skill Pills while the others are vicious monsters or ruthless bandits waiting to ambush you.

You can use “Guidance by the Gods” to eliminate one option which is a risky battle with vigorous monsters, increasing your chance to obtain rare Skill books and Reset Skill Pills.

By default, you have 02 free chances to explore the Ancient Cavern and you can use GEM to buy more chances if necessary.

PRISON

Prison can be considered the uber PVE content of LFW as of now due to how difficult it gets later on. Prison has a total of 75 floors and every floor contains a specific number of rooms. You can only proceed to the next floor once you manage to clear all rooms of the current floor.

There are two types of rooms in the Prison: Regular and Solitary. Between these two, Solitary rooms are where extremely dangerous monsters are waiting for you and they also yield more reward than Regular Rooms.

You earn points when you successfully defeat a room and rewards will be granted to you automatically once you reach a certain threshold.

By default, you have 01 chance to raid the Prison everyday. However, unlike other Side Missions, you cannot use GEM to purchase raid chances as it would be too advantageous for those who are able to reach high floors.

CRUSADE

Crusade is a combination of both PvE and PvP aspects in LFW. In general, you will embark on an adventure on a ship of yours and your ultimate goal is to overcome 08 different challenges to reach your destination.

Of those 08 challenges, there are 04 Pirate ships (PvE) and 03 Player ships (PvP), your last challenge is the vicious Pirate Boss. The reward pool of Crusade consists of Soul Stones, Gold and various valuable consumables, which will be granted after defeating an enemy.

The one feature that makes Crusade completely stand out is that the HP of heroes deployed in the battles is not refreshed and carried on to the next stages. Deceased heroes cannot be deployed again. Therefore, utilizing heroes with good sustainability in this Side Mission is highly recommended. The journey will end once you conquer the final boss. In case you lose all heroes before finishing the boss, you can force ending the journey and restart a new one.

By default, you have 01 chance to set sail everyday and you can use GEM to purchase extra chances.

Conclusion

Side Missions are where a large portion of your daily resources come from and are potentially a reliable source to generate profits as numerous items dropped in these contents can be minted on LFW Marketplace and sold for LFW Tokens.

By investing more in your heroes, you will be able to conquer the hardest challenges and make even more profits.

LFW is expected to have more Side Missions implemented in the future to make the game more thrilling and rewarding.
